The story of

Swami Vivekananda

Swami Vivekananda, born as Narendranath Datta on January 12, 1863, in Kolkata, India, was a renowned spiritual leader and philosopher. He was a key figure in the introduction of Hinduism and Indian philosophy to the Western world. Vivekananda was a disciple of the great Indian saint Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, from whom he learned profound spiritual wisdom.

His famous speech at the World Parliament of Religions in Chicago in 1893, where he spoke of universal acceptance and the importance of religious tolerance, brought him international acclaim. Vivekananda’s teachings emphasized self-realization, the unity of all religions, and the importance of serving humanity. He founded the Ramakrishna Mission, which focuses on social service, education, and spiritual development.

Swami Vivekananda’s legacy remains timeless, inspiring countless individuals around the world to pursue their spiritual path and contribute to society. He passed away on July 4, 1902, but his teachings continue to guide millions.
